Trying to decide if journaling is right for you?

Here is a little bit of my story for inspiration:

For most of my life I have dealt with anxiety and overwhelm.  I have learned that it is so important to be in tune to our mental health and seek the support we each uniquely need to achieve good mindsets and our overall mental health goals.

No matter what you may be experiencing mentally, it all starts with understanding that there is nothing wrong with you and asking for a little extra help is okay.

There was a time in my life where I needed support.

After my son was born, I experienced a shift in my life and my anxiety and stress escalated.  Being a mom brought on so many wonderful opportunities but also dreadful anxiety.

I didn’t know how I was going to be able to run my business while being a good mom and it led to my first panic attack. I didn’t know what was going on, I was overwhelmed and I didn’t know how to cope with the situation.

My next step was to see a therapist which helped me adjust my thoughts and view points through cognitive behavioral therapy and positive thinking. Then I dove deeper and learned the understanding that we all have mental health within us, it is just covered up by thought layers of anxiety, stress and overwhelm. That was the turning point for me as I learned to be present and disconnect myself from those thoughts. I became the viewer and not the actual thought itself. I started to use tools like journaling to help create space from my thoughts and shift my thinking to the positive.

Journaling played a big role in helping with my anxiety and learning how to shift my thinking. It helped me so much, that I wanted to create a series of journals designed to offer a place for others to write their thoughts and support their mental health.

I hope this sends a little bit of inspiration your way. You are beautiful and healthy and there is nothing wrong with you

xo,
Jen
